Josh Piterman, singer and actor, trained at The University of Ballarat Arts Academy in Australia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) in 2006.
Most recently Josh has played Corny Collins in the UK touring production of Hairspray, Ramon Gutierrez in An Officer And A Gentleman for GFO, Michael in Grease 2 for StageArt, and The Caliph in Kismet for The Production Company. Prior to that, Josh performed the lead role of Tony in the 2010/2011 national production of West Side Story presented by, BB Promotion GmbH, Ambassador Theatre Group, Tulchin/Bartner Productions, Lunchbox Theatrical Productions and David Atkins Enterprises.
In 2010 Josh performed alongside Geoffrey Rush in The Drowsy Chaperone with the Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC), where he understudied and performed the role of George.
Josh has always had a passion for classical singing and almost immediately after graduating from University, he joined the international pop-opera smash hit group, The Ten Tenors, where he was fortunate enough to have performed in countless theatres, concert halls, opera houses and arenas across Europe, Asia, Africa, USA, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia as well as singing on various television shows across the globe. He also had the rare opportunity to film a concert DVD, Amigos Para Sempre with the Spanish RTV Orchestra in Madrid.
In Australia, Josh has appeared or performed on The Kerri-Anne Show, Sunrise, Saturday Disney, Backyard Blitz, A Current Affair, Today Tonight and Ready Steady Cook and in 2008 sang the National Anthem at the Emirates Melbourne Cup.
Josh is passionate about holistic fitness and health, and has featured in various publications, such as Men’s Health. Josh recently created and opened PITFIT; Australia’s only fitness studio for the Performing Arts.
